Before Treatment
Every Botox, Dysport or Xeomin appointment begins with a review of your medical information and previous treatments. We'll discuss your concerns and goals, assess your facial anatomy and muscle movement, and recommend a treatment plan.

During Treatment
If you choose to proceed, precise injections are placed into the targeted muscles using a fine needle. Treatment itself is typically quick.
After Treatment
Most patients can return to their regular day following treatment. Temporary redness, small bumps, tenderness or bruising at the injection sites may occur and typically settles shortly afterward. You'll leave with clear aftercare instructions and know what to expect as your results develop.
Results Timeline
- Days 3–5: Initial changes in muscle movement may begin.
- Weeks 1–2: Results continue to develop, with full results typically assessed around two weeks.
- Months 3–4: Muscle movement gradually returns and lines may become more noticeable again. Longevity varies by product, dose, treatment area and individual response.

Hyperhydrosis (Underarms)

What is the difference between Botox, Dysport and Xeomin?
Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are prescription medications containing botulinum toxin type A. They work by temporarily reducing activity in targeted muscles that contribute to expression lines and wrinkles.
While they work in similar ways, they are different formulations and their units are not interchangeable. Your provider can recommend an option based on your facial anatomy, muscle movement, previous treatments and desired result.
Will Botox make me look frozen or unnatural?
It doesn’t have to. Wrinkle relaxer treatments can be customized based on how much movement you want to maintain.

How long do Botox, Dysport and Xeomin last?
For many patients, results last approximately 3 to 4 months, although this varies between individuals and treatment areas.
Your dose, muscle strength, metabolism, treatment area and individual response can all influence how long your results last. Rather than treating according to a fixed calendar, we recommend reassessing when movement gradually begins to return.
How quickly will I see results after Botox, Dysport or Xeomin?
Wrinkle relaxers do not work immediately. You may begin noticing changes within the first several days after treatment, with results continuing to develop afterward.
The timeline can vary depending on the product used and your individual response. Your provider will advise you when your treatment should be assessed.
How many units of Botox will I need?
There is no standard number of units that is right for every patient. Your dose depends on your anatomy, muscle strength, areas being treated, desired amount of movement and previous treatment history.
It is also important to know that Botox, Dysport and Xeomin use different product specific units, so the number of units cannot be directly compared between brands.
Can I still move my face after Botox?
It depends on your goal. Overall yes however, the amount of movement you retain depends on the areas treated, your anatomy, dose and treatment goals.
Some patients prefer a softer result with more movement, while others prefer greater muscle relaxation. This is something you can discuss with your provider before treatment so your plan reflects the result you are looking for.
What happens if I don't like my Botox results?
Unlike dermal filler, Botox, Dysport and Xeomin cannot simply be dissolved. Their effects are temporary and gradually wear off as muscle activity returns.
This is one reason your consultation and treatment plan matter. Discussing your previous experiences, preferences and how much movement you want to maintain helps your provider plan treatment appropriately.
Is there downtime after Botox, Dysport or Xeomin?
Downtime is generally minimal, but temporary redness, swelling or small bumps can occur at injection sites. Bruising is also possible.
Your provider will review your post treatment instructions in your consultation and again after treatment and let you know if there are activities you should temporarily avoid following your appointment.
