Microblading: 

Enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows can now be done quickly and painlessly with microblading. This semi-permanent procedure utilizes a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles to recreate a realistic eyebrow hair look by customizing brow silhouettes strand by strand. Unlike standard eyebrow tattooing, each hairstroke is carefully created with the small handheld tool and fine slices in the skin are made to deposit pigment into the uppermost region of the dermis - making it less long lasting than traditional tattooing but still providing an impressive result. Depending on your skin type sometimes you need an annual touch up to make sure your brows are staying as fresh as possible. This appointment is significantly shorter than the first two sessions and not everyone requries them.

To ensure the best possible outcome of your appointment, please take a few special precautions. 24 hours beforehand, it is important to avoid consuming any alcohol or caffeine. Additionally, for 24 hours prior to the appointment try not to take pain relievers like Advil (Ibuprofen) or other blood thinners such as Aspirin, Niacin, or Vitamin E unless medically necessary. Lastly, it is recommended that you skip fish oils in the week leading up to your appointment. Following these simple guidelines will help us to maximize the effectiveness of our time together. 

Once you have your new brows, be sure to follow a few guidelines during the healing process to ensure best results. For three days after receiving your treatment, avoid having water running down your brows and blot the area with clean paper towels instead. Do not rub or scratch them while they are healing and prefer dry healing over applying anything to your brows. Try to stay away from any physical activities such as yoga or working out that could cause you to sweat for 7-10 days and avoid pools, oceans, saunas, hot tubs and sun exposure until they are fully healed. Sunscreen is recommended once they have healed so that your beautiful new brows don't fade!

Microblading results offer a more permanent solution for full and effortless brows, lasting 1-3 years depending on some external and internal factors. While sun exposure, brow tinting, and the use of facial cleansers with glycolic acids can all contribute to fading of the pigments, the body's natural process of metabolizing these pigments will also cause gradual fading over time. Everyone's experience is unique and therefore fading can occur at different rates. To get the most out of your microblading results, we highly suggest an annual maintenance touch up!
